Accounting and Fees:

All work is billed on an hourly basis. Rates will vary with demand.
Call for current pricing info. A project rate will be fixed during the course of an uninterrupted project.

An hourly fee structure actually saves you money because you aren't locked-in to a large flat fee. It also allows you the freedom and convenience of changing your scope of work anytime during the course of the project. I will always be happy to discuss your scope of work, to see if we can agree on an assessment of the approximate time required. When assessing a project scope of work, I try to achieve a balance between speed and accuracy, with accuracy being the most important factor.

A retainer is required prior to starting work on your project. Retainer-based accounts allow for a smooth and seamless service. Typically, customers will send their retainer along with their preliminary materials. When I receive your retainer and preliminary materials, I will set up an account for you. All projects can be included in one statement, or I can set up individual statements per project.

The amount of each payment is entirely up to you. You may send as much, or as little, as you feel comfortable sending. Work will continue on your project as long as there are funds available in your account. I will notify you when your account is getting low so you can send another deposit. A word of caution: if each payment is too small, relative to the project size and schedule, work progress may be delayed while waiting for another payment to arrive.

Example:
An initial payment of $500.00 may be used up in 3 or 4 days. If I notify you on day 2 that another payment will be needed soon, and you mail a payment that takes 5 days to get here, your project will be delayed during the wait. To avoid this situation, you may make your initial payment larger, or use a service like FedEx overnight, 2, or 3 day, for subsequent payments. US Postal Service mail is not recommended.
